Drought Economics: Livestock Impacted by Corn

In continuing our video from yesterday regarding low corn supply and high prices from the drought, the impact is spreading. Since corn feeds livestock, farmers/ranchers are seeing their input costs rising, which increases the probability of high livestock prices. Livestock farmers are petitioning the EPA to reduce the ethanol mandates so that more of the corn supply can be used to feed livestock and ease prices. We shall see how the government responds.
